  • You have a drawing, CAD file, or sample and need it manufactured in carbon fiber
  • You need a part that doesn’t exist in any open-mold catalog
  • You’re replacing a plastic or aluminum part with a carbon equivalent

Better served elsewhere:

  • You want an existing catalog frame or wheelset with your logo applied (a catalog supplier will be faster and cheaper)
  • You need a complete built wheelset (hub, spokes, rim lacing)

How a Project Moves From File to First Sample

  1. File review — STEP/STP, IGES, 2D PDF or physical sample. We check wall thickness, mold split lines, undercuts and insert positions.
  2. Process recommendation — based on geometry, load, batch size and budget.
  3. Quotation — tooling cost, lead time and MOQ, usually within 2–3 business days of receiving complete project information.
  4. Mold design and first sample — reviewed and approved before any batch commitment.
  5. Pilot batch, then production — with export packaging to your destination.

For safety-critical parts (forks, handlebars, load-bearing frame sections), we can coordinate third-party ISO 4210 or EN 15194 testing through partner labs where your target market requires it — arranged as a separate service alongside manufacturing.

Materials and Finish, at a Glance

What is the MOQ for custom carbon fiber bicycle parts?

For second runs on existing molds, MOQ can be as low as 20–50 pieces depending on part complexity. For new custom-mold projects, we typically recommend a pilot batch of 30–100 pieces after first-sample approval. MOQ is confirmed per project.

How long does a custom project take?

Simple parts on existing tooling: 2–3 weeks. New custom-mold projects: typically 8–16 weeks from design freeze to first production sample. Full custom builds with new tooling: 3–5 months to first production batch.

Do you make complete carbon fiber frames or wheelsets?

Complete frames are taken on a case-by-case basis after engineering review, since they’re usually safety-critical. We don’t run a standing wheelset-build service (hub lacing, spoke tensioning) — most clients start with individual components instead.

Can you work from a physical sample instead of a CAD file?

Yes. We can reverse-engineer from a physical sample or OEM plastic reference using 3D scanning or manual measurement, which typically adds 1–2 weeks to the timeline.
